We thought it a good idea as the food is already prepared, buffet style, so there is not so much worry about getting back to the office. How it works is you order your drinks then go up and grab your starters. On offer the day we visited were various chicken bits (very much like the dreaded turkey twizzlers featured in Jamie Oliver’s school dinners program), potato waffles!, chips!, and then more traditional spare ribs, wanton and spring rolls. A selection of sauces were also on offer. The chicken satay I had was awful at best, with the chicken inside the fatty casing a pinkish colour in the middle, I promptly left it on the plate after one bite. The various other unidentifiable chicken pieces were bland and fatty. The sweet chilli dip was also of poor quality. The best bit was probably the spring rolls but you can hardly go wrong with them!!! Onto the mains!! Fortunately these proved to be of slightly better quality although it would have been remarkable if they had been worse! I had a mixture of various beef and gravy dishes, some peppered pork and some crispy duck (more limp and soggy!!) with pancakes. In fairness for £9 each we did leave rather full. The idea I suppose is not a bad one if that is what flicks your switch. Although it seems cheap to eat as much as you like for £9, I’m sure you would be very full if you spent the same at a good quality take away. The only plus points were the reasonably good service and that the restaurant itself was pleasant inside. I doubt I will go back though.
