| We
came here for a family do on a Sunday afternoon. After finally being
seated, we were forced to wait around half an hour before having our
order for starters taken. This was very poor given that the restaurant
had now become quiet (it was after 2pm!). However the waiting staff
did seem to be particularly busy spraying each other with cleaning
products and giggling incessently, so this may explain the cause for
the wait we endured. This is a shame as the food was quite good. My
goats cheese wrapped in Parma ham was tasty enough, and presented
quite well. Another slice of Parma ham certainly wouldn't have gone
a miss as the goats cheese overpowered the flavour of the ham. The
Moules Marinere (sic) got a resounding thumbs up though. Another half
an hour wait was incurred after finishing the starters, waiting for
our main course orders to be taken, it seemed the waiting staff had
moved onto playing cowboys and Indians with their table cleaning fluid.
As it was a Sunday, most of the party opted for Roasts, which again
were well presented, although we had to order more vegetables as the
portions given would not suffice. I feel although the food was good,
a rejection is in order or at least a could do far better, due to
the shocking service we received. TheLa |
