I had arranged to take my sister to the Philharmonic on Friday to go and see The Dubliners as part Of the Cains Liverpool Irish Festival, and needed somewhere to eat whereby the service would be quick and non fussy. Boy, was I glad I stumbled accross this place.

I had been advised by some that this place is popular with students, well I am hardly surprised. It is a large cafe with a nice ambience. The furniture is all wooden and looked like it was straight from Morocco, and there is fantastic lighting and artwork.

Unfortunately, you are unable to purchase alcohol, although I believe you are able to bring your own. The menu is a really mixed affair, they do what I am told is a fantastic breakfast for £3.00 but then sell everything from Burgers, kebabs, omelettes, salads and Pizzas. They then do specials, such as their own curry, which I have to say smelt delicious and at £5.50 looked a bargain. A Moroccan cous cous dish and also some lamb dishes.

In cafe style you order at the bar, as we were in a rush I opted for the mixed kebab (chicken and lamb) and my sister opted for pizza. Both were delicious, I was very impressed with the kebab which was presented with fries and a large salad.

The cost for this and a drink each? £10.60. You really don't get better value than this. Its a wonder where they make their money but having said that it was heaving, and hardly surprising. I will certainly be revisiting.
