And so it begins; The Great Burger Hunt Part II. Bigger. Badder. Burgeryer.

This time, we were taking on even more in one day. It’s the rule for all sequels; bigger budget, higher bodycount and a cameo appearance from Gary Busey. Along with the same old rules about picking the flagship burger and only taking the burger itself into consideration; fries, drinks and Hamburgler toys would not be allowed to sway our judgement. We would take an overview of time taken to serve us, value for money and would make regular refreshment breaks to prevent us becoming too burger jaded.

We at Restaurant Spy took some pride in the demise of American Burger on Oxford Street and were happy not to have to return. Hardrock Café also fell off the roster this time for reasons of time and that a friend who had recently gone informed me things were much the same as at the time of the last hunt. One of the most depressing things I’ve ever seen was an American tourist in a Hardrock Café: Paris t-shirt. You’re one of the few who actually leave the country, you go to France and where do you end up? And then you want to boast about it? Sigh.

But we had some new burger boys in town that had been making something of a ruckus. Time to see if they could put their burgers where our mouths were.
