We went here for Sunday lunch. It consists of two big rooms, fairly functional but with a comfortable feel, each with its own bar. You are given a token and join a queue for the carvery which consists of beef, chicken and pork and all the associated trimmings which they heap on a nice big plate. Plenty of veg and a good selection. The guy behind the counter seemed to genuinely care whether we would enjoy it all, as well. There's also a gut-busting counter-full of desserts but we never got that far because the roasts were pretty darn huge. I was told they are even huger out of season to keep the locals coming but I can only speak as I find. I was reliably informed that there were plenty of locals present so it is clearly not just a tourist fleecer and the quality and prices reflected that. There were plenty of kids around and it's a laid back family atmosphere. It is not adventurous cooking by any means but solid and reliable and just what you need on a Sunday afternoon in Cornwall. You can even get a space in the carpark without too many gymnastics. Luxury. Harry
