Kenilworth is not a splendid place, particularly this end of town away from the castle. But if you should end up there, you could do far worse than this place. "Raffles is decorated in traditional colonial style with period sepia pictures, Malaysian furniture and chandeliers, and the music we play is Chopin and Mozart. We offer a traditional colonial menu, comprising Malaysian Malay, Malaysian Chinese and Malaysian Indian". Their words not mine but I'm sure you get the picture. We were offered house speciality Singapore Slings as we selected from the menu where you are encouraged to mix and match from the different styles. From the 3 course menu, the courses you get are a quite small appetizer, a regular starter and a main dish. Most of the dishes mixed hot and cool very well and were all tasty (the coconut and yoghurt rice with spicy lamb was particularly good). A little pricey but good food and a pleasant environment accompanied by excellent service means you won't feel hard done by. Approved King Mob 2002
