One would never have guessed this place used to be a Burger King...
We were kept waiting outside for 20 mins until a table became available -for a Thursday night, being that busy, I have to admit my expectations were raised. Once seated it was realised that there are further tables upstairs, the staff informed us that these would be available once they had established themselves. The menu was of a decent size, plenty to choose from without being overwhelming. A range of dim sum, soups, wok dishes and curries, the latter having rice included in the price.


The waiter came to take our order, he seemed a little distracted; After ordering two dimsum dishes and a curry dish each, we actually had to ask him if we could order drinks, as he seemed very keen to rush off without considering we may be thirsty. I had a glass of the house white, T had lychee lemonade, which tasted lovely. The dimsum arrived in traditional bamboo baskets in the hands of a very disgruntled waitress.


The main course arrived soon after. My prawn thai green curry was more like a soup, with a handful of prawns and peppers floating around in it. A bit diluted and tasteless, I wasn't too impressed. T's Malaysian chicken curry was slightly better, but had an out-of-the-jar flavour to it.


All in all, not a particularly favourable (or flavourable!) experience... Good decor, bad service, so-so food... Doubt we'll set foot in there again until they are indeed, more "established".

I went to Dim T this weekend

I went to Dim T this weekend with my friends and wasn't very impressed with the food. I had the Duck Noodles but the noodles were greasy and tasteless and the duck fatty. Friends had other dishes and even the rice dishes were covered in grease. It was, however, done out and decorated very nicely...although wasn't sure about the communal toilets!

DimT experience

I went there on February 25, 2007.

The service was poor.

So poor in fact, that after ten minutes of being ignored, I took a phone call.

Once I finished, I waited a few more minutes...

Nothing.

I decided to walk out.

A man without limits, is a man without goals.

i feel that review was unfair, last time i went it was very pleasent and the service was good. It has been every time i have been which is a few. it may not be my favorite restaurant but it is not expensive and has a good atmosphere.

Dim T

Well, I have to say, as I used to be a waitress at the said resturant, yes the sea food laska is very good. But most of the food there you can get easily at any chinese resturant...the dim sums are overpriced (for the price you pay for 3 dim sums we buy a whole box) and pay there is crap!

£3.75 an hour...which we get taxed, because apparently the tips we recieve make it go over minimum wage? Not so. And the management there are awful! Some of the waitresses were fired for being too chatty. But yet they encouraged us to talk to customers...and go through a frickin routine pushing on orders onto our customers....

....so I'm sorry for your waiter but he was probabley trying to balance 7 tables at once...and being paid nothing for it. Xwaitress
