Went here as a second choice but was pleasantly surprised. Quite a basic box room layout to the place but the nice conservatory and outside tables break the place up a bit. The menu had a good selection of Italian dishes with enough variance from the traditional to make it refreshingly different. I had a bit of a treat for the wine and chose a very nice 2001 Barolo. For starters I had Antipasto Misto which had a very nice dolop of Buffalo Mozzarella on it, she had Gamberoni (thank god I kept the receipt) which was King prawns cooked in garlic, chili and a touch of wine I believe. For Mains I had Pollo co Funghi which was well cooked, the chicken was moist and the mushrooms tasted very fresh plus lots of cream (I know I know sod the diet). Mrs W had breaded Chicken called Polo Milanese with a very rich tomato sauce, it seamed to go down well and kept her quiet for a few minutes. The service through out was a bit patchy but not to bad, it was quite late I guess. The total bill was £81 but this was not helped by the Barolo at £39.95. All in all a pleasant good value meal I felt and a restaurant I would be happy to recommend for an informal get together.
