Taste - a Wine Bar from Five Reasons Wine, Tunbridge Wells

Submitted by m on Sat, 28/10/2006 - 18:32.

After ten years of living to work and working to climb the property ladder, Irene Rizza and husband Mark, decided there must be something more to life, so with a love of wine and a desire to share their passion with others, they created Five Reasons Wine. This user friendly wine shop, conveniently situated opposite Tunbridge Wells Station, encourages people to taste before they buy and discourages patronizing wine snobbery. Recently they opened Taste a small and cosy wine bar above the shop, where a growing band of wine enthusiasts can be found from Thursday to Saturday enjoying good wine and good company.

I spoke to Irene about her childhood, the people and events which have influenced her life and the reasons behind her decision to leave the rat race and turn her passion for wine into a business. Q

Pride and Passion.... its in the genes

Thinking for yourself was a lesson learned early on

Follow your heart.... and your head a little bit

No tie required and the birds can come too!

A chance to stay and have a drink after work - for them and us.

Loving the job....means loving the grape
