NorfolkWagamama, Chapelfields, Norwich
408 Chapelfield Plain, Chapelfield, NR2 1SZ Norwich on Saturdays is busy, as is any city of comparable size. So I can only assume that this is what accounted for the severe lack of decent service displayed to me at Wagamama in Norwich. With a Japanese 'healthy eating' ethos, Wagamama is set out in a canteen/refectory style. Waiting staff take your order and scribble numbers on your paper placemat, I suppose to remind them of who's having what, as the tables have no numbers and orders are electronically delivered to the kitchen via a handheld device. Fishes, Market Place, Burnham Market, Norfolk, PE31 8HE
Market Place, Burnham Market, Norfolk, PE31 8HE In a word ‘Disappointing’. In two words ‘Disappointing’ and ‘Expensive’. We had visited Fishes a few years ago and had a thoroughly good time, a first class meal, and had recommended it to many people as a result. We had been looking forward to returning, and finally had the chance. But two years down the line, the prices have gone up, the enjoyment levels down, and the accountants seem to have taken over. Cookies Crab Shop, The Green, Salthouse, Holt, Norfolk NR25 7AJThe Green, Salthouse, Holt, Norfolk NR25 7AJ If you love Seafood, particularly shellfish, and you also love the fact that you have just seen a crate of what you are about to eat being carried in from the sea. Cookies Crab Shop is definitely the place to go. Good simple shellfish salads and platters freshly prepared and at bargain prices. BYO alcohol. Lovely to sit outside in the sea air consuming your fruits de mer. Hans |
