Review:

It was only when we came to order that we were told that much of the menu was unavailable – pity they didn’t tell us when we ‘phoned to book. Only my 5th choice was available. We were told that they had no steaks but we then overheard the chef/owner offer rump steak to a local – a touch of rationing, I suspect. The treacle roly-poly was rock hard (probably over microwaved). The coffee machine wasn’t working and we were offered instant coffee but at the same price as the decent filter machine price. To finish the evening off an ‘extra’ bottle of wine appeared on my bill that we hadn’t had. Would I go there again? NO

Review:
I was driving up the A350 being tailgated by a thirty ton tanker who thoght he was auditioning for Speilberg's 'Duel'. Having played cat and mouse with him for quite long enough I pulled into the carpark of a convenient pub to let him put a good half hour between us. I then realised that the pub, despite being bang on the A350, looked rather nice. It was the Somerset Arms. It has a very welcoming beer garden round the back, where the carpark is, but unfortunately it was raining.

Review:
Situated at the top end of the town, just off the market square, this Chinese restaurant served the dishes that you would usually expect at such an establishment. Prawn crackers arrived shortly after placing my order of a beef satay starter and a main course of chicken with ginger and pineapple. The satay had a sharp but not unpleasant taste while thin slices of ginger gave the chicken a welcome potency.
