'Mexican' restaurant is very well situated, next to the medieval West
Gate of the city, which you can see through the windows. It achieves
quite a rare feat for me, in that it appears to be part of a chain,
whereas actually it isn't. It has only one sister restaurant and that
is not in Kent but in Hawaii. A Mexican restaurant in Hawaii. Why
not,I suppose? It's just the same as a Mexican restaurant in Kent.
To me the ambiance has that bland, slightly manufactured feel, all
laminated menus and themed wallcoverings, that you get in chains and
the food was just that little bit overpriced for what you get, as
it usually is in such places. It was very fancy food for Mexican too
- lots of chivemashed potatoes and duckburgers. Not everyday fare
in the Bario, surely? OK Harry |
