"Taunton - quaint, Olde Worlde charm, low-beamed country pubs? That's exactly what I'd expected at The Sanctuary. It certainly looks the part, and I was just waiting to see the Berni Inn sign as I got inside. BUT - big surprise. The interrior's actually quite modern, and definitely sexy. The atmosphere was buzzing, helped by attentive but friendly service. And if your tastes are 'a bit of everything', this is your place. Not 'fusion' food, but certainly influences from just about everywhere. Seriously delicious, and (for the quality) much less than I'm used to paying in Manchester or London. Not a huge wine list, but seemed well-chosen. All-in-all, who would have thought Somerset had this sort of thing to offer? I'm going again." Signor Bob
